1. What is OurTales?
OurTales is an online store builder for small businesses and Instagram sellers in India. You add your products, share one link, like ourtales.in/yourshop, and your customers send you their order on WhatsApp and pay you directly.
2. Who is OurTales for?
Sellers who want a real online store without coding or design skills, and who are tired of answering "price?" in their DMs.
3. How does it work?
Set up your shop: its name, a layout, your first products and your top picks. Add your delivery charges. Then share your link on your Instagram bio, stories or WhatsApp status, and orders start coming in.
4. Do I need to know coding or design?
No. You answer a few questions and add your products. OurTales builds the shop, and you can change anything later.
5. How much does it cost?
Prices are in Indian rupees (INR). A website costs ₹299 for 1 month, ₹1,615 for 6 months or ₹3,050 for 12 months, whatever type it is. Everything is included: all layouts and colour sets, your own dashboard and enquiries on WhatsApp or Instagram. Online shops also get unlimited products and orders and discount codes.
6. Does my plan renew automatically?
Yes, by default. You can turn auto-renew off when you go live or at any time in Settings, and we email you a reminder before each renewal.
7. How do my customers pay?
OurTales is not a payment gateway. Customers send their order to your WhatsApp or Instagram from your shop, with the items, delivery address and total already written in, and they pay you directly in the chat or to your own UPI ID.
8. Can I hide the price and take enquiries instead?
Yes. For any product you can switch off the price and show an "Enquire on WhatsApp" button. It opens a chat with you, product name already written in.
9. Who delivers the orders?
You do, with your own courier partner. When you mark an order shipped, you write an update for your customer (a tracking link, a delivery date) and we email it to them if they gave an email.
10. Do my customers get updates?
Yes. If your customer gives an email, OurTales emails them when you accept, pack and ship their order, and when it is delivered, from your shop's name. You can always message them on WhatsApp too.
11. Can I run it from my phone?
Yes. Adding products, accepting orders and changing your shop all work on your phone.
12. Who is the seller, OurTales or the shop?
The shop. Every shop is run by its seller, who is responsible for the products, delivery, returns and refunds. OurTales provides the website and is not the seller.
